Commitment to technique, a love for the game and a strong willingness to prepare have allowed Roman Oben to play at a high level in the National Football League for 12 years. The veteran offensive lineman knows all the tricks of the trade, and next week he’ll take time to share them with several of San Diego’s young athletes.

Boys and girls ages 8-14 are invited to participate in the Fifth Annual Roman Oben Youth Football Camp which is scheduled for June 28-30 at San Diego’s Mira Mesa High School. The camp provides participants with an opportunity to be coached by the best in the San Diego area and learn proper fundamental football skills while developing good sportsmanship.

Camp instructors include several current and former NFL players as well as local high school and junior high football coaches. Camper to coach ratio is no more than 13 to 1 to ensure that each participant receives proper supervision, small group instruction and maximum drill repetition.

In addition to honing the football skills of those in attendance, coaches will take time between each session to discuss issues facing today’s youth.

Cost of the camp is $99 per camper at walk up. Campers will receive a $75 discounted rate if affiliated with youth organization or team. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt, gift bag, and autographed photo from Roman. At the end of each day awards such as the daily hustle award and MVP award will be presented! Space is limited to 250 campers, so pre-registration is important. For more information or to register visit www.romanoben.com or call 1-800-717-0337.
